Ghana's trade and investment sector at highest peak- President Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama says Ghana's Trade and Investment sector are currently at its highest peak hence constituency in the sector is paramount.

He said the Free zones board, the Ghana investment promotion center, the Ghana export promotion centre among others continue to generate huge foreign exchange earnings for the country and this is why these sectors have to be pushed with the right backing for economic stability.

President John Mahama said this in a speech read for him by the Trade and Industry Minister Ekwow Spio Garbrah at the commissioning of the head office of the Ghana Free Zones board in Accra.

Establish by an act of parliament in 1995, the Ghana free zones board exist to woe investors into the country.

President Mahama who was represented by the Trade and Industry Minister Ekwow Spio Garbrah said Ghana's Trade and Investment sectors are well positioned to generate more foreign income to the country.

Executive Secretary of the Board, Kwadwo Twum Boafo said the Board represent serious business in the world of trade and investments and the Board is ready to move to the next level with the commissioning of the new office.
