Striking Community Health Nurses remain resolute The National President of the Community Health Nurses Group, Esther Bamfo, says Community Health Nurses will remain on strike until their concerns are addressed. She said they have been discriminated against in their remuneration and they do not have career progression due to the nature of their qualification. Speaking to Abraham Asare on Behind the News, Madam Bamfo noted that community Health Nurses are still referred to as auxiliary health workers even though they often work without supervision. Meanwhile, the former General Secretary of the Ghana Registered Nurses Association, Nana Asante Krobea who is also the incoming President of the Association says the claims of the Community Health Nurses are not issues which should propel them to go on strike.
