Children with birth defects to undergo free surgery 

Thirty-four doctors from the U.S, the Netherlands, Israel and South Africa are in the country to perform surgery on children with complex surgical problems. 

More than 25 children with birth defects will benefit from the operations at the Korle-Bu teaching hospital in Accra. 

The team has also donated medical items and equipment worth $ 75,000 to the hospital.
