VVU Registrar apologises to Rastafarians The Registrar of the Valley View University (VVU), Kwasi Okyere Darko, says the University does not discriminate against any group of people when admitting students. He said as an institution of higher learning, the University is open to all who are qualified irrespective of race, religion, nationality, ethnic, gender or marital status. Mr. Okyere Darko was reacting to a statement he is alleged to have made in an interview on a private radio station. He said it is regrettable the statement which was made without any malice has been misunderstood and misrepresented. Mr. Okyere Darko nevertheless sincerely apologises to all Ghanaians especially the Rastafarian community for any offence the statement might have caused. He said Valley View is a Seventh - Day Adventist institution which stands by its good values of love, respect for all human beings and seeks to uphold the dignity and religious liberty of all people.
