Formulate policy for the Corporate Affairs Division throughout the Broadcast Network. ii. Develop functions of the Division in specific terms with collaboration with the Deputy to ensure that these functions are carried through. iii. Responsible for Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs iv. Provide inputs to Management for the formulation of strategic policies of the Division v. Ensure adherence to all Ghana Broadcasting Corporation’s policies pertaining to Corporate Affairs vi. Initiate the process of drawing up the strategic vision of the Corporate Affairs division in a changing competitive media environment vii. Resulted-oriented with excellent analytical writing, communication and interpersonal skills with requisite attention to detail. viii. Perform other duties assigned from time to time QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE i. Must possess Masters Degree in Arts, Social Science or an approved comparable qualification. ii. Director of Radio Main Duties/ Responsibilities i. Formulate Policy for the Radio Division throughout the Broadcast Network ii. Develop functions of the Division in specific terms and collaborates with Deputies to ensure that these functions are carried through iii. Responsible for Deputy Director of Radio iv. Assignment of duties and responsibilities to the Deputy Director of Radio v. Serve as an advisor to the Board on all Radio Programmes and Services vi. Initiate the process of drawing up the strategic vision of the Radio Division in a changing competitive media environment vii. Ensure Radio obligations of media laws are kept viii. Prepare programmes which could be exchanged under GBC’s obligation to African Union of Broadcasting (AUB), Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) and other international bodies. ix. Develops or receives and recommends for approval, policies designed to maintain and improve the standard of programmes of National Service and External Services. x. Review and analyses proposed programme schedule of both services for recommendation to the Director –General through the Deputy Director General. Review and analyses major schedule changes involving increased output, overall balance of programme output of national and international significance. xi. Ensures that approved policies, standards and objectives are expressed in written directives and procedures for implementation by the Heads of Services, or as otherwise authorized xii. May recommend standard of recruitment, training and selection of key personnel including candidates for overseas training and attachments xiii. In accordance with established policies, initiates, recommends and approves staff changes and administers the staff of his Division xiv. In accordance to the established procedures, initiates, and recommends annual budget and administers the fund allotted for the financing of the activities of Radio Division of the Corporation xv. Establish and maintain contacts between the Radio Division of the Corporation and other sister Radio Organizations xvi. Reports to the Director General through the Deputy Director-General on matters concerning operations and policy xvii. Perform other related duties as required. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE i. Must possess Masters Degree (minimum) ii. Must have at least ten (10) years post-qualification experience, five years of which should be in Management position in relevant field of work. iii. Must be computer literate iv.
