Street naming 70% complete at Suhum

The Suhum Municipal Chief Executive, Samuel Fleithcher Kwabi says about 70% of the street naming exercise in the municipality has been covered inspite of challenges.

The Suhum Municipality was grouped into six zones to make property and house allocation easier.

The Chief Executive said the Municipal Assembly met with all necessary stakeholders before deciding on the names for the streets.

Mr Kwabi disclosed that the entire municipality has been captured on a Global Positioning System {GPS} and soon, streets can be found on the internet with zip codes when the house naming exercise is completed.

He attributed the challenges encountered to the lack of technical personnel.

Currently, the only Town and Country Planning Officer is serving three districts including Ayensuano and the Nsawam-Adoagyiri districts.
