Three Companies donate towards Farmers Day

The National Planning Committee of the Farmers Day Celebration on Thursday received a total of GH¢ 35,000.00 and 60 pair of wellington boots donated by three companies. 

Dizengoff Ghana Ltd donated GH¢ 25,000.00, Ghana Reinsurance 10,000.00 with Leader Rubber donating the boots.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture in charge of Crops, Yakubu Alhassan, said farmers contribute to a greater percentage of the growth of the economy, hence the need to assist them.

He thanked the companies and called on other corporate bodies to also do same.
