Former Chairman of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice CHRAJ, Justice Emile Short, said abolishing the death penalty will demonstrate the country's commitment towards advancing the right to life. He said Ghana is regarded globally as an abolitionist country yet practically the death penalty is still embedded in the country's constitution. Mr. Justice Short made the remark at a round-table to mark the 12th International Day Against the Death Penalty in Accra. GBC
