Ghana to possibly host the 2015 African Cup of Nations The Confederation of African Football, CAF has written to Ghana to possibly host the 2015 African Cup of Nations. This came up following Morocco's withdrawal from hosting the tournament next year. The Moroccan government pulled out of hosting the tournament due to fears of the deadly Ebola disease. Morocco gave CAF three scenarios to either let them host 2017, postpone the AFCON 2015 to 2016 or they pull out completely. The withdrawal of Morocco leaves South Africa and Ghana as the next countries to host the tournament. In a related development, South African Football Association President, Danny Jordan met with CAF President Issa Hayatou to discuss the matter.
