Vegetable Farmers in Ada West District Call for Irrigation Women Vegetable farmers in Koluedor in the Ada West District have reiterated their call on government to establish irrigation facilities in the district to help them cultivate their crops all year round. The farmers lament the perennial gluts they experience during the single harvesting season of each year. According to the farmers they incur losses in the production of pepper and tomatoes due the erratic rainfall in the area and lack of ready market. As the country marks the Rural Women and World Food Day this month, Radio Ghana’s Correspondent Dominic Hlordzi with support from Send-Ghana visited Koluedor to interact with the women farmers on their farms and has filed an audio report.
