Updates from NPP presidential primaries in Brong Ahafo

Voting in most of the 29 Constituencies in Brong-Ahafo in the final vote of the NPP's Presidential Primaries is underway, with most of the 14, 500 plus Delegates expected to vote showing a great deal of enthusiasm for the event.  

At the Sunyani East Constituency's Polling Centre,  Radio Ghana witnessed the start of the voting at 7 am prompt with a queue of about eight people already in place.
  
The Sunyani Municipal Electoral Officer, Yaw Opoku who is overseeing the exercise, revealed that a total of 813 Delegates are expected to cast their ballots. He said all was set with the EC, the Security Operatives and the NPP all doing their bit to ensure the exercise ends successfully.
  
As at 20 minutes after the start, 31 people had already voted.  But by nine am, the queue had grown, snaking around the GNAT Hall compound and spilling into the street beyond the gate.
  
At the neighboring Sunyani West District where a total of 675 Delegates are voting, the situation was similar with at least 41 People haven cast their vote as at 7:50 am.  
The Sunyani West District Electoral Officer, Kwame Agyekum, reporting that everything was smooth sailing.
  
At Odumase Radio Ghana observed that the queue was steadily growing as enthusiastic delegates arrived from the hinterland in buses.
  
In interview the MP for Sunyani East, Ameyaw Cheremeh, revealed that the  exercise which he financed will set him back by at least 150 thousand Ghana Cedis, adding that all MPs are financing the voting in their constituencies while one of the candidates is helping out with the orphaned constituencies or constituencies where the NPP has no sitting MPs.
