Nana Akufo-Addo casts vote Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, a candidate in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) national election to select a Presidential candidate for the 2016 general election on Saturday cast his vote at the Party’s Headquarters in Accra. Nana Akufo-Addo, who was dressed in a black pair of trousers and white and blue short sleeves; arrived at the NPP’s Headquarters at about 1030 hours in the company of his security details,. Within the space of less than 10 minutes he cast his vote, after which he left without saying a word to the media. Other leading party figures who cast their votes at the same centre were Mr Kwabena Agyepong, General Secretary, Nana Ohene Ntow, former General Secretary and Mr Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey, former Chairman. Dr Charles Dwemena, Chairman of the China branch of the party who came to cast his vote and to exercise the franchise of others by proxy was prevented from doing so because his name was not in the register. It was later detected that his constituency polling centre was Ayawaso West Wagon and he was subsequently directed there.
