The Daily Graphic thinks it is about time the country deliberates on how to generate efficient power. It says the power producing companies such as VRA, Ghana Grid Company and ECG should also be looked at since their operations fall below the expectations of consumers. They are either unable to give services for which consumers are paying good money or are unable to collect revenue for the development of their infrastructure. The paper believes government should try to fulfill its obligations to the companies in order for them to perform their duties. The Graphic therefore thinks the PURC should equally do its work, to ensure the utility companies deliver according to the targets agreed upon for the increase in tariffs. 

The Ghanaian Times is worried about the nation's preparedness and availability of medical facilities should the Ebola disease break out in Ghana. According to the paper, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams' call for prayers against the deadly Ebola virus has had mixed reactions. It says Most Reverend Charles Palmer-Buckle has also thrown his weight behind him saying it is a good cause. The paper says no one wants Ebola in Ghana so every measure must be taken to stop it. It says the health system is not as robust as those of the western counties. The only way to complement the efforts of hospitals and public education is by prayers because it could be the spiritual solution to the deadly disease. Christians and Muslims must not relent in their effort but pray fervently for God's intervention.
