Failure to hand over criminals’ compounds Alavanyo-Nkonya crisis - Nana Ampem Darko

The Ankobeahene of Nkonya Traditional Area, Nana Ampem Darko, says failure by traditional leadership to hand over criminals in the Alavanyo-Nkonya area is compounding the problem.

He said as overlords of the land and traditional systems, the maintenance of peace and development is their prerequisite and this cannot be sacrificed on the altar of criminality.

Nana Ampem Darko was addressing a news conference following the recent shooting of Lance Bombardier Wilson Boafo of the 66th Artillery Regiment, Ho, during a peacekeeping assignment at the Alavanyo-Nkonya disputed area.
