Media charged to exhibit professionalism

The Chairman of Star-Ghana Steering Committee, Prof Akilakpa Sawyer, says it is time the media did self-examination, guided by the ethics of the profession.

He said the way and manner key issues are trivialised and politicised is not healthy for the growth of the nation.

Prof Sawyer added that the situation where issues are aired without investigation must be stopped.

Prof Sawyer, who made the comment at the two-day Star Ghana Media Learning Event in Accra, charged the media to clean up their table to be more credible.
