Study unveils gross abuse of published works through photocopying at tertiary institutions It is estimated that students of the University of Ghana, Legon alone photocopy about 16 million pages of protected books in a year. This, according to the Executive Director of Reprographic Right Organisation of Ghana, Copy Ghana, Ben Nyadzi is unacceptable and affects writers economically. Launching a report on a survey conducted by his organisation into photocopying and digital copying in Ghana, Mr Nyadzi says though the law makes provision for fair and permitted use of published works what occurs especially in the tertiary institutions is outrageous. He says there is the need for the institutions to obtain license before reproducing the materials. GBC
