Public asked to disabuse minds that National Farmers Award is politically motivated The public has been asked to disabuse their minds that the National Best Farmer Award is politically motivated. Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture in charge of crops, Dr Yakubu Alhassan who said this in an interview with Radio Ghana said complete assessment is made for over four million farmers and fishermen in the country. He said there are definite criteria that are documented and made known to all. Therefore the winners are not chosen by any Minister, political figure or based on party card. Dr Yakubu Alhassan who is also the Chairman of the Farmers Day Planning Committee touched on donations made by corporate organisations towards the programme. He said the ministry takes account of all donations and anyone who has doubts could probe. GBC
