DCE's for Sissala West and Jirapa sacked

President John Dramani Mahama has relieved two District Chief Executives of their duties.

They are Moses Dramani Luri and Vivian Kunku Banongkore of the Sissala West and Jirapa Districts.

The two are to leave office with immediate effect.

A statement signed by Local Government Minister, Julius Debrah, says the President’s decision is in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(4) of the Local Government Act, (Act 462), 1993.

As in previous dismissals, no reasons have been assigned for the sack.
