Former Attorney-General says CHRAJ Boss need not resign while case against her is investigated

The Chief Justice, Mrs. Georgina Theodora Wood, is to set up a committee to investigate allegations of misconduct and abuse of office leveled against the Commissioner of CHRAJ, Mrs. Lauretta Lamptey.

Leader of Pressure Group, Progressive Nationalist Forum, Richard Nyamah and NPP, MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, have both initiated impeachment proceedings against Mrs. Lamptey by petitioning the President.

The CHRAJ Boss allegedly spent five thousand dollars a month on hotel bills for three months, whiles one hundred and eighty-thousand Ghana cedis was being spent to renovate her official bungalow.

The petition to the office of the President was forwarded to the Chief Justice, who has since established a prima facie case against Mrs. Lamptey.

Former Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Ayikoi Otoo, has been explaining to Radio Ghana the implications of this situation. He spoke to Bubu Klinogo.
