New Fish Technology launched to ensure food security

A new technology, the FAO-Thiaroye Technique (FTT), that ensures good sanitation practices and prevents chemical patterns not conducive to PAH control in fish smoking has been launched in Accra.

The technology which is in the form of an oven produces minimal heat and has an oil collector that has been developed to meet standards of the European Union (EU) market.

The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) has described the technology as one that will ensure food security.
