Vice President Amissah Arthur Calls For Adoption Of Electronic System For Health Records Of Patients
 

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur says the time has come for the country to adopt an electronic health record system that allows
the exchange of patient's health information from one facility to the other.

He said this should be possible in the age of information communication technology. 

Vice President Amissah-Arthur said this at
the Eleventh Annual General Scientific Meeting of the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra. 

He said the practice of medicine is
rapidly changing and there is the need for continuous professional training to deliver high quality service.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur said this at the Eleventh Annual General Scientific Meeting of the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra.

Representatives of Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons from ECOWAS and the united Kingdom
are attending the Annual General Meeting of the Ghana Chapter which is focusing on improving emergency care in Ghana. 

Vice President Amissah-Arthur said information communication technology is enabling non practitioners to access information on their health and the
appropriate medication. 

There is therefore, the read to work to uphold and maintain the trust and integrity of the medical profession. 

Vice President Amissah-Arthur tasked the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service to collaborate with the college of Physicians and Surgeons to have at least are medical specialist stationed at health facilities throughout the country.
