Gov't considering total overhaul in power sector to make it more efficient


Government is considering an overhaul of the power sector to fully participate in dealing with the energy crisis. 

In line with this, a stakeholders consultation team is dialoguing with partners and the general public to find the best way to turn around the Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG, to better deliver on it's mandate of power distribution. 

Speaking at one of such forums with the media in Accra,the Chairman of the Stakeholders Consultation Team, Frank Ocran, said to improve and sustain efficiency in power supply, more private sector participation is needed.
