New executives & defeated contestants of NDC promise to close ranks for 2016 victory


The 8th National Delegates Congress of the NDC congress in Kumasi has come and gone, with the President and Leader of the NDC, John Mahama, urging the new executives and defeated contestants to close their ranks and fight for victory in 2016.

Radio Ghana's Current Affairs Programme, Behind the News, sought to find out how the various contestants are taking the President's call first, newly elected National Organiser, Kofi Adams, who says he has no option but to work with everybody to ensure a resounding victory.

Former Minister for Local Government and Rural Development and one of the new Vice Chairmen of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo acknowledged the task ahead but is full of hope that the NDC will win the 2016 elections.

The defeated National Organiser, Yaw Boateng Gyan, said he has put his defeat behind him and is ready to put his expertise at the disposal of his successor.
