The Daily Graphic and Daily Heritage comment on the 8th National Delegates congress of the NDC held in Kumasi. The Graphic lauds the way and manner the congress was organised. The paper says though the campaign was fierce and characterised by a number of allegations including the use of money to influence delegates, the congress as a whole was successful. According to the paper, the peaceful nature of the congress gives ample impetus to the national resolve to stay committed to the path of multi-party democracy. It says the elections produced substantial changes that are the expectations of NDC members. The paper congratulates the newly elected executives and wishes those who lost better opportunity next time.

For its part, The Daily Heritage congratulates the newly elected executives of the NDC and the outgoing ones. The paper urges members of the new team to use their expertise and commitment to provide an effective organisation for the benefit of Ghanaians. It says the task ahead is the most important and must be the priority of the leadership. The Heritage adds that, the 2016 election will certainly not be an easy task considering the prevailing conditions in the country. It however says, hard work and unity must be the hallmark of contesting parties.

The Ghanaian Times calls on drivers and other road users to be cautious during the yuletide. The paper says the safety of all road users tops all plans being rolled out by stakeholders to ensure an accident free yuletide. The major stakeholders, the Ghana Private Road Transport Union, the Police, the National Road Safety Commission and the Ministry of Roads and Highways should embark on various educational campaigns in an attempt to avert accidents during the period. The times says the safety of all Ghanaians and everyone living in Ghana is important and it is its wish that  road users would be responsible and mindful of  measures to prevent accidents.
