Leap Programme to be expanded - Nana Oye Lithur

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur, says the Ministry will draft a Social Protection Policy and develop a Communication and Advocacy Strategy on social protection next year.

This according to her will foster the effective implementation of the Ministry’s plans for 2015.

Addressing an end of year staff durbar in Accra, Nana Oye Lithur said the Ministry will also expand the LEAP Programme to include about 200-thousand more beneficiary households, as it fully rolls out the electronic cash transfer payment system.
