DStv designs packages for all pocket sizes

MultiChoice Ghana, the providers of pay television DStv, is offering a variety of viewer bouquet options to allow subscribers the flexibility in price and choice without compromising quality.

“These range from the English variety of bouquets: DStv Premium, Compact, Compact Plus, Family and DStv Access, to Indian and French packages. In addition, MultiChoice offers special bouquets for hotels, pubs and clubs,” the Ghana Country Manager of MultiChoice, Mr Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, said in Accra.

The release said subscribers could start from prices below GH¢35 a month with ‘DSTV Access’ and enjoy over 45 channels of quality family entertainment such as  Al Jazeera, SuperSport BLITZ, E-Entertainment, Magic World, Mindset Learn, Africa Magic among other channels. 

It said those channels would give subscribers extensive choice of entertainment, combining general entertainment, movies, documentaries, news, children’s programming, music, religion and sports.

The release explained that the DStv Family bouquet was a direct response to the need of DStv lovers for a special package that catered for the home entertainment needs of the family at a reduced rate. 

“This bouquet offers consumers direct access to top-class content of over 40 dynamic video channels and over 30 digital audio channels at an affordable price with an extensive choice for the entire family; and by combining general entertainment, movies, documentaries, news, children’s programming, music, religion and sport,” it said.                   

Above GH¢100 a month up to GH¢299 are viewer plans such as DStv Compact; DStv Compact Plus and the DStv Premium which allows for family TV enjoyment, including options for watching all the football matches and other sporting events live.

While the DStv Compact caters for a range of genres and tastes that enable subscribers to enjoy home television entertainment and stay connected to international news, the Compact Plus has all that, including all the EPL matches and other live sport actions such as Bundesliga, Spanish La Liga, golf, athletics, French League, motorsport and boxing. This bouquet has two HD channels.

The release said the DStv Premium, the high-end bouquet, offered all the available audio and high definition channels, while giving full access to all the leagues.
