Government to expand Yendi Water System for improved water supply The Minister of Water Resources Works and Housing, Alhaji Collins Dauda says government will soon expand the Yendi Water System to provide potable water for about 84,000 residents to address the water situation in the area. The Minister stated that the Ghana Water Company is currently evaluating two proposals from investors to that effect. Alhaji Dauda said this when he appeared before Parliament to answer questions on water supply in parts of the country. He said presently, the Ghana Water Company is rationing water among communities in and around Yendi in the Northern Region. Alhaji Collins Dauda also spoke about efforts to curtail flooding at Sakaman in Accra. GBC
