International Women's Day launched in Accra

This year's observance of International Women's Day has been launched in Accra, on the theme "Beijing Plus Twenty, Advancing Women's Empowerment."  

A Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, John Ackon, noted that the fight to bridge the gender disparity between men and women should be a national affair, as key challenges remain in achieving gender parity.
