Government pledges 10 thousand acres farm land for commercial agriculture

Pressure Group, Agriculture Sovereignty Ghana says government's food and agricultural policies risk derailing and destroying the role of women in agriculture. 

According to the Programmes Officer of the group, Duke Tagoe, under the G8 New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition in Africa, government has pledged 10 thousand acres of farm lands for commercial agriculture. 

This, the group says, will take lands away from Ghanaian farmers who are mainly women.
