Another Architect In Police Recruitment Scam Arrested One of the Principal architects in the recent police recruitment scam has been arrested . The suspect Joseph Seidu Awuni was arrested at his hide out in Accra and is currently assisting the Special Investigation Taskforce, investigating the scandal that left many desperate youth stranded at various Police Training Schools. Sources at the Police Administration said Awuni`s arrest is expected to help the work of the Taskforce which has been given up to the 20th of his month to submit its report. Awuni is said to have been key in organising agents across the country and also collecting money from victims. This brings to eight the number of persons arrested in connection with the recruitment fraud. The suspects are Aisha Asumda, a 36 year old shea butter seller, Alifa Adams 27, unemployed, Amos Brown 40, Radio Presenter, General Corporal Gideon Sarpong, and Constable Ruth Agyiri, 27 of the Central Police Station, Koforidua. The rest are Pastor Paul Danso and Richard Harrison. Director General of Human Resource Development of the Police Service, COP Patrick Timbilla has been interdicted following his alleged involvement in the case. GBC
