Minister meets NMC to discuss media issues

The Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane-Boamah has met with the Board of the National Media Commission to discuss some emerging issues in the media. 

These include Ghana's migration unto the digital platform, the media development fund, TV licensing fee, tolerance within the media landscape and the right to information bill.  

According to the Minister, although Ghana is not likely to meet the deadline for the migration, government has been engaged in the construction of a national infrastructure to ensure a successful migration. 

Dr Omane Boamah called on the National Media Commission and the National Communications Authority to work closely and put systems in place to regulate the content of media houses.
