Ghana Prisons says it is not true Nsawam prisoners rioted over inadequate water and power outage

The Ghana Prisons Service says it is not true that some prisoners at Nsawam Medium Security Prisons rioted over inadequate water supply or power outage. 

The Eastern Regional PRO of the Service, Courage  Atsem, explained that the Regional Commander was rather giving a presentation on the congestion of the prison during a visitation by some judges. 

He said the prison which can only accommodate 851 inmates now houses about  3,571 prisoners.
