Calcutta braces for rally against Indian nun's gang-rape Thousands led by priests in India's Calcutta have demonstrated in support of a 71-year-old nun who was gang-raped at her convent school. The rape by a gang of robbers last Friday is the latest in a series of high-profile sexual assaults in India that have intensified outrage over high levels of violence against women. Archbishop of Calcutta, Thomas D'Souza said about four thousand people attended the rally including all the city parishes and common people to express their solidarity with the victim.
