NHIA to ensure a successful implementation in the Upper East Region 

The National Health Insurance Authority, NHIA says it has set up Regional and District Committees in the Upper East Region to roll out the capitation programme in May this year.  

Speaking to Radio Ghana the Communications Manager of the NHIA, Selorm Adornu said the authority has learnt lessons from the challenges it faced in implementing the pilot programme in the Ashanti Region and these will guide it to ensure a successful implementation in the Upper East Region.  

The committees he said are to help officials of the NHIS educate the public on the essence of the programme.
