The Daily Graphic welcomes the initiative by government to implement a national liquefied petroleum gas accelerated promotion programme. According to the Paper, the decades of reliance on charcoal and firewood for food preparation and other energy needs has depleted the country's forest resources and created an environmental imbalance. It says the announcement by the Minister of Petroleum, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah to distribute more than fifty thousand free gas cylinders and stoves to some rural communities in parts of the country is laudable. The Paper advises that there should be the availability of gas to feed the gadgets and entreated stakeholders to teach the people how to use them well in order to prevent accidents.

The Ghanaian Times says steps must be taken to halt people causing mischief, fear and insecurity in the country on the internet. It says though Ghanaians live in the information age, it is criminal for people to use the internet to disturb the tranquility and peace of the country and plunge it into destruction. The Paper believes the internet has brought development to the world and connected humanity together by the simplest way and therefore people should use it as such and not destroy it. 

The General Telegraph recommends the provision of internet modems to students, teachers, researchers and community development agencies at subsidised prices. It says the economic benefits to be reaped will make such as investment worth-while for the nation. The Paper believes the least discussed issue is the potential of the internet as a force for during the economic growth of the country.  The initial national response to the advent of computer use in the country years ago ranged from indifference to cynicism. According to the Paper, questions were asked regarding the issue in spending money on the importation of computers when many people lacked such basic necessities as good drinking water, food and medicines. However, accepting internet has impacted positively on teaching, learning and research making academic work more conducive to students, lecturers and researchers.
