The Ghanaian Times says the focus of this year's World Water, “A day to celebrate water” is to determine how water is a vital resource that is at the centre of sustainable development from human health to energy security. The Paper says water must be valued in all forms whether fresh water for drinking, waste water treated as a resource for energy or natural water to support the ecosystems. It notes that human activities and the phenomenon of climate change are putting severe stress on the country’s water bodies. The Paper believes as World Water Day is marked, it must be drummed home to all that water is an indispensable resource that must not to be taken for granted and must be protected. 

The Daily Graphic reminds Ghanaians to be mindful of the tension and fear that engulfed the country prior to the declaration of the results of the 2008 and 2012 elections and put measures in place to build trust in the electoral process. The Paper says it will be in the interest of the country to plan ahead to avert any mistrust in the electoral process, bearing in mind that the least spark and suspicion can be dangerous for all. The Graphic says the 2016 elections are less than two years away and every effort must be made to find long lasting solutions to electoral issues that confront the nation as well as implement the needed reforms.
