Gbevlo-Lartey denies Amidu's BNI allegations The Former National Security Coordinator, Colonel Larry Gbevlo-Lartey, has debunked claims that he sent BNI officials to search the former Attorney General, Martin Amidu's house and detain him. Martin Amidu had said he was arrested and detained on the eve of the December 2012 elections by BNI officials who were operating on the orders of the then National Security Coordinator. He said this was done to silence and prevent him from exposing the rot within government at the time. In a statement, on social media Col. Gbevlo Lartey questioned the claims by the former Attorney General, Martin Amidu saying, there is no truth in his statement. Meanwhile former Attorney General, Martin Amidu speaking on an Accra based Radio Station City FM, maintains that he was arrested on the eve of election 2012 and challenged the former National Coordinator to come out with facts to debunk his claims.
