Christian community in Ghana and other African countries to unite - Rev. Dr. Andre Karamaga The General Secretary of All African Conference of Churches (AACC), Christian community in Ghana and other African countries to unite in has urged the Christian community in Ghana and other African countries to unite in combating the challenges and threats to the attainment of AU’s growth agenda 2063. An AU consultative meeting with African Faith-Based Organisations held in Nairobi in November last year set a framework to among other commitments oppose all forms of politicisation of religion and religious extremism, prevent conflicts and entrench a culture of peace and reconciliation. The AACC General Secretary however expressed regret that even though Africa commands the largest Christian community worldwide, the peace and stability of the continent is threatened by wide spread insecurity, crime and conflict. He was speaking at a special service organised by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana to honour him and the Deputy General Secretary of AACC, Dr. Bright Mawudor. The event was held at the Grace and Peace Congregation at Adenta in Accra. GBC
