Prisons Service Council launches project to raise funds The Prisons Service Council has announced the launch of a 20 million Ghana Cedis Project dubbed the 'Efiase Project" to raise funds for the upkeep of prisoners across the country. Chairman of the Council, Reverend Stephen Wengam, announced the launch when he led members of the Council to call on President John Mahama at Flagstaff House in Accra. The President who lauded the initiative also announced government's plan to build Remand Prisons, to enable special attention to be given to remand cases.
