Media to help in early child marriages - Audrey Gagekpo Statistics indicate that about 25 percent of girls in Ghana will be married before they turn 18. This places Ghana as the highest in the world with respect to child marriages. At a round table with media practitioners in Accra, a Senior Lecturer at the School of Communication Studies, University of Ghana, Audrey Gagekpo asked television and talk show hosts to use their power of communication to set the agenda to eradicate early child marriages in the country.
