Amoateng court case: State to produce fifth witness The State is to produce its fifth witness in the trial of former Nkoranza North MP, Eric Amoateng, who is alleged to have travelled into the country with a forged passport. DSP Aidan Derry Wednesday informed the circuit court presided over by Eller Amoah that the witness is a director at the Passport Office and is ready to appear before the court. He explained that due to his schedule the witness could not be available for Wednesday’s hearing and requested for a day's adjournment. Mr Amoateng was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport in August last year for possessing a forged document after serving a ten year jail term in the US for narcotic related offence. Prosecution says the bio data page of the passport was forged. Four prosecuting witnesses including the investigator have so far testified in the case. GBC
