GBC to adopt an editorial policy

The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) is in the process of adopting a draft editorial policy to streamline its operations.  

At a forum in Accra to finalise the draft policy, Director General Albert Don Chebe said adopting an editorial policy for GBC is long overdue.  

He said the policy will go a long way to avoid an adhoc way of doing business.  

GBC's Director General is optimistic that other media houses will take a cue from GBC to adopt guidelines that will regulate their editorial policies to create sanity on the media landscape.  

Media Expert, Professor Kwame Karikari congratulated GBC for the initiative to adopt editorial policies to guide its day to day operations.  

Professor Karikari points out that GBC's step is important, in setting the pace and direction for broadcasting in Ghana.
