Labor Expert says NYE Summit could be a relief to the unemployed youth A Labor and Mediation Expert, Austin Gamey, says the National Youth Employment Summit could be a big relief to the youth especially the unemployed. He said the forum would help to open up job avenues since industry, commerce and other businesses will use the event to showcase employment opportunities. Mr. Gamey encouraged all stakeholders to take keen interest in the summit. The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Ras Mubarak was emphatic that the summit will provide the appropriate platform for the youth, industry and government to engage for the mass unemployment challenge to be addressed positively. An Educationist, Dr. Dominic Quainoo said a job summit may be appropriate but the outcome must be pursued. Dr. Quainoo suggested that the tourism industry and the private sector should be supported to create more jobs since they have the potential. He said developing local food such as kenkey, abolo and banku and serve them at hotels and restaurants could also create jobs. GBC
