Ga State elects new Kingmaker

The two principal Wulomei of the Ga State, the Nai and Sakumo Wulomo have accepted the report of  an arbitration committee set up by the  Ga  Traditional Council to settle the  impasse as to who is the  rightful Dzaase for the Ga State.  

The Committee found that Nii Yaote Oto Ga has passed through the necessary customary processes to become the Dzaasetse, Kingmaker of the Ga State.  

Addressing a news conference  at the Ga Mantse Palace in Accra, the  two affirmed  their  faith  in Nii Yaote Oto Ga and  called for   peace and  unity  within the  Ga State to enable  rituals leading to the ban on drumming and  noise making  to be  performed amicably.  

Nuumo Akwaa Mensah also gave the background of the newly elected Dzaase for the Ga State.
