Experts hail government's move to hold job summit

Some labour experts and educationists have hailed the decision of President John Mahama to organize a labour and employment summit.  

According to them it is worthwhile to critically revisit the mass unemployment syndrome and find solutions to it.    

A Labour Consultant, Napoleon Kpo, says he expects a change of attitude in students and government immediately after the summit.  

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Ras Mubarak was emphatic that the summit will provide the appropriate platform for the youth, industry and government to engage for the mass unemployment challenge to be addressed positively.

An educationist, Dr. Dominic Quainoo, said a job summit may be appropriate but the outcome must be pursued. 

Dr. Quainoo suggested that the tourism industry and the private sector should be supported to create more jobs since they have the potential.  

He said developing local food such as kenkey, abolo and banku and serving  them at hotels and restaurants could also create jobs.
