Access To Juvenile Justice The Children's Act of 1998 makes provision for Juvenile Justice, but there is evidence that its provisions are not being adhered to by some communities. From Wa, in the Upper West Region we find Community Development Alliance, an NGO working to improve access to juvenile justice in the region. Executive Director Salifu Issifu tells Radio Ghana’s Rebecca Ekpe the challenges his organisation encounters. Meanwhile, Human Rights Advocates in Ghana have attributed congestion in the country's prisons to the number of persons on remand. According to them, one third of the prison population are persons on remand. The Human Rights Advocates have therefore called on the IGP to ensure that the CID expedites the trial of prisoners on remand. Above all, these Advocates want a complete overhaul of the country's Judicial System, to ensure ''Justice For All''. GBC
