Police yet to make arrest in Bunkpurugu conflict Police in the Northern region are yet to make any arrests in the disturbances at Bunkpurugu which have claimed two lives and resulted in the destruction of a dozen houses. The area has been under curfew as a result of a chieftaincy conflict and a land dispute between Kokombas and Bimobas. Last night's incident is a major blow to efforts to maintain peace and order in the district. Due to the hostile nature of the situation at the time the police was unable to arrest any suspect. However, the residents have started volunteering names, some of whom are suspected to have fled to Togo. GBC
