Affirmative Action Bill To Increase Women's Participation In Politics - Nana Oye Lithur Women's representation and participation in political institutions is one area that Ghana is failing compared to other countries in sub Saharan Africa. Countries such as Cameroon and Senegal have made great efforts to increase the number of women in politics. This situation will not last long with the passage of the Affirmative Action Bill. This bill is believed will create more room for women to actively participate in politics. The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur revealed this at the Inaugural Gender Dialogue and launch of the 40th Anniversary of Ghana National Women Machinery in Accra.
