President Mahama To Attend WAEMU Forum in Belgium President John Dramani Mahama, as well as Ministers from different African countries have confirmed their participation in West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU, also known by its French acronym, UEMOA), to be held on 06 -08 May 2015 in Mons (Belgium). The main focus of the EU-Africa B2B Forum is to provide a high level platform for Business-to-Business (B2B) and matchmaking meetings. This was contained in a statement issued by EU-Africa Chamber of Commerce (EUACC) and copied to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) in Accra on Monday April 27, 2015. The statement said the EU-Africa B2B Forum is to enable business contacts between professionals from African and European private sectors with more than 500 registered participants from over 50 countries. According to the statement, the UEMOA will present several investment projects, including projects on roads linking the most important West African cities, during a dedicated workshop. The statement further said the EU-Africa B2B Forum is also partner to this year European Business Summit. Other African Countries as Rwanda, Madagascar, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Morocco, and Senegal have also been invited to present investment opportunities. The EUACC's mission is to promote the development of the African private sector and to encourage win-win and sustainable business partnerships between the European and African private sectors.
