Surgical Emergency Medical Unit Of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Suspends New Admissions For 48 Hours Due To Congestion

The Surgical Medical Emergency Unit of the Korle- Bu Teaching Hospital has suspended admissions of new patients for the next two days.

 In reference to a notice issued by the Medical Director of the hospital, authorities are informing patients that the Surgical Medical Emergency is full beyond its capacity. 

And in order not to compromise quality of healthcare, admission of patients into the department is being suspended for the next 48 hours. 

This is a big blow to patients especially when the unit is crucial in the operations of the hospital.
